Strategic:• Participate in the development of Application unit policies and procedures to ensure that application development/enhancement process is well structured and organized. Ensures that both IT unit and q.media employees adhere to the procedures.• Manage end users’ and business owner’s requirements for upgrade/enhancement of assigned IT applications and coordinates with them to develop a business case/technical specification for the IT director’s review.• Estimates budget requirements for the development/maintenance of assigned applications and provides the report for the IT Director’s review. Operational:• Manage IT applications’ development/enhancement projects by defining the system architecture and interfaces, user requirements, workflows needed to support the application as well as supervises external service providers to ensure that the projects are executed within the given timeline, budget and targets.• Develop plans for applications’ functionality tests as well as conduct user acceptance tests.• Responsible for the technical documentation of design, architecture, release notes, user guides and any other information related to the development and maintenance of the assigned applications.• Oversee maintenance of the assigned applications throughout their life-cycle and coordinates maintenance engagements with the application vendors. Analyse issues raised by the applications users to identify any issues and takes corrective action.• Coordinate with application vendors for new licenses, renewals, upgrades & bug fixes.• Develop trainings for application users to build their understanding and enhance skills for the applications usage and utilization• Oversee implementation of appropriate security measures for the assigned applications to ensure information security and asset protection. Liaises with external service providers on identification of the relevant security provisions.• Responsible for the management of the ERP (MS NAV 2013)• Perform any other work related duties as assigned by the IT Director.People:• Ensure compliance with the performance management process and its linkages to learning and development, compensation, promotion, career development and succession planning. This is done in full collaboration with the HR function• Contribute to the people development initiatives within the department.• Coach and mentor direct subordinates to develop their skills and ensure continuous people development
