POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title : Specialist - Compensation and BenefitsDepartment : HRReporting To : Manager - Employee Relations and Welfare
POSITION PURPOSE
The Specialist - Compensation and Benefits will facilitate the development and implementation of the overall Compensation and Benefit scheme for AMLAK based on the capability to maintain equality, fairness, transparency and market equilibrium in AMLAK’s compensation and benefits structure as well as responding to employee inquiries and/or concerns regarding benefits, services and coverage issues. The incumbent will:
• Manage the development of Compensation and Benefits tools, frameworks and plans in alignment with the overall HR strategy and AMLAK business objectives.
• Respond to and resolve employee inquiries or concerns regarding benefits, services and coverage issues
• Run the monthly payroll to ensure integrity of the process and that employees are paid on time and employee requests are processed according to their terms and conditions
• Ensure completion of benefits transactions and deductions as part of the monthly payroll
• Process final settlement amounts for leaving employees
• Conduct regulars checks of payroll data to ensure integrity and alignment with policies and procedures; perform routine audits of HRIS and payroll entries, identify areas of improvement in payroll processing
• Track and manage various annual enrolments (i.e. health insurance, life insurance, etc.) and one-off benefit payments (i.e. annual flight tickets, education allowance, etc.)
• Supervise the implementation of Compensation and Benefits practices across the organization, to ensure compliance to relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Determine the most appropriate compensation package for new hires by collaborating on Manpower Planning and Recruitment matters
• Contribute to the identification of employees who will be awarded by bonuses and special employee recognition plans.
• Maintain Compensation and Benefit records and documents.
• Survey the local, regional and global marketplace for pay practices and reward trends; policy issues and practices.
• Select and manage any necessary and/or relevant HR consultants, vendors, or legal assistants for design work and/or salary benchmarks, when required.
• Maintain the data integrity of the ERP system to ensure that all data is aligned to AMLAK’s policies, procedures and system
• Actively follow and promote all AMLAK policies and procedures.
• Perform other tasks and duties that may be from time to time required in order to meet the requirement of the role and the objectives of AMLAK.
Communication
• Manage the preparation of account study, accounting entries and financial reports statements to ensure payroll information is accurately reflected in the company’s financial accounting system in a timely manner
Qatarization
• Contribute to Qatarization and the Qatar National Vision 2030 by supporting capabilities and transferring knowledge within HR.
Collaboration
• Collaborate with all elements to improve cross-functional collaboration and synergy in order to ensure effective and efficient delivery of HR services
