Job Purpose
To work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of clinical care, which encompasses psychological assessment, treatment and management of patients suffering from mental and physical health disorders.
Key Accountabilities/Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist in the setup, organization and operation of naufar Clinical Services.
Key Duties
Task Force Duties
• To assist in the development of the model of care.
• To assist in the development of clinical infrastructure.
• To assist in the development an operational model.
Clinical Duties
• To undertake structured interviews, psychological assessments (including complex psychometric tests), observations of individuals and groups and to diagnose the nature and condition of mental disorders.
• To lead in the development of psychological formulations of clinical problems and the development and delivery of treatment plans, which include psychological treatment and/or management of clients’ problems and to ensure that treatment plans are devised, updated and conducted.
• To guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
• To provides individual and family psychotherapy and to assist in the co-ordination and running of therapeutic groups.
• To assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of counselling programs and client’s progress.
Educational Duties
• To participate and lead in clinical psychology in-service development.
• To develop and implement naufar service improvement.
• To assist in the teaching of other multidisciplinary team members, clinical and non-clinical staff, and others to promote knowledge of clinical psychology management to enhance patient care.
Internal and External Relationships
Internal: All members of the naufar clinical and non-clinical staff, patients, and families.
External: Services within Qatar, Public Health Bodies.
