Job Purpose:
The English Copyediting Specialist is responsible for the creative development and integration of messages and products that support the Qatar Foundation (QF) communications strategy. The incumbent is expected to deliver high-caliber and compelling messages that target stakeholders, institutional partners and joint-venture audiences. Working with Publications staff, the English Copyediting Specialist produces superior text and presents an innovative and professional standard that connects QF to its key audiences through a variety of media. The English Copyediting Specialist is also responsible for ensuring that all text is grammatically accurate, error-free and factually correct.
Key Result Areas:
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop content for QF publications and corporate communications materials, including brochures, reports, presentations, website and other products.
• Produce high-quality and innovative text with consistent tone, style and terminology for publications and website as required by QF and by the Publications department.
• Collaborate with marketing team and designers to support the QF identity through the combination of relevant graphics, symbols and text in publications.
• Develop and document content development/publications processes to ensure coordination and efficiency with content contributors, translation and copy-editing staff, and internal clients.
• Develop briefs for all projects to ensure agreement on objectives and expectations for each product/task assignment.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders in planning and executing publications and materials.
• Coordinate with Publications Manager to understand publications needs and ensure that stakeholders are updated on program-related activities, efforts and initiatives through publications.
• Ensure that all outputs are accurate, grammatically correct and error-free, and that all copy meets the highest standards.
