Main Duties:
To ensure an efficient and effective running of the staff canteen and that all staff are provided with meals in line with company policy.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
Prepare and ensure implementation of all policies and procedures related to the canteen on site and other cafeteria locations
Prepare and rationalize annual budget related to catering
Prepare Scope of Work for contracted services, materials and equipment
Plan, organize, and monitor the day to day operations of the canteen, and all other cafeteria locations, including daily record-keeping, opening of the canteen and preparation for service.
Plan, and organize, catering for VIP guests and various events, meetings, workshops and trainings taking place at the site
Ensure that staffing levels of the contractors are adequate to facilitate the demand of staff, guests and other end users.
Review the menu and ensure it meets customer requirements.
Order stock, as needed, and check all supplies against invoices and delivery dockets.
Receive reports on stock count and monitor the daily traffic to enable service decisions and improvements.
Ensure proper arrangement, cleaning and general ambience of the canteen.
Ensure that correct food handling and hygiene practices are observed by the contractors to prevent food spoilage and contamination.
Ensure that contracted staff are familiar with correct food handling and hygiene practices.
Ensure all health & safety regulations are adhered to in the canteen including security and appliances
Maintain appropriate records to facilitate decision making.
Communicate relevant information to Supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned
