Job Purpose Summary:
Assist with the functions of the Media relations sections
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Act as central administrator for the Communications & International Relations Department - direct all incoming calls to appropriate
party promptly and efficiently
• Administer Arabic and English correspondence - communicate and handle incoming and outgoing email communications on behalf of
Manager as necessary
• Interface with Finance, Administration and General Services on administrative issues
• Assist in financial management - invoices and payments - administer Consultancies, Memberships, and Sponsorships
• Co-ordinate the schedules of senior members of the Department - arrange travel schedule and reservations for executive management
as needed
• Assist in handling media enquiries from the different Al Jazeera family of channels
• Assist in project management on assigned projects on an as-needed basis
• Assist in the maintenance of Arabic and English key documents
• Perform clerical duties including but not limited to classifying and filing documents, maintain hard copy and electronic files in system
• Assist colleagues with preparation of presentation materials
• Assist in creating conference dossiers for senior management conference participation
• Coordinate a variety of executive meetings
Other Responsibilities:
• Perform other duties relevant to the job as requested
