Senior Technology Planner - Qatar Foundation

Brief Posting Description

This position is responsible for senior level planning and collaboration of strategic technology solutions for QF. He/she will ensure the technology plans are catering to the business automation demands and incorporating latest technology trends. The Sr. Technology Planner will work closely with the business users and IT to make sure that technology plans are in place.

Detailed Description

 Set the overall technology plan for the organization as per business demand and requirements.
 Oversee the preparation of the blueprints of QF’s technology plans.
 Assist the IT Strategic and Planning Manager in setting the overall direction and ensuring that it is in compliance with governance.
 Assist in the planning of short-term and long-term technology strategies for QF’s IT requirements while ensuring they support achievement of the QF’s mission and objectives.
 Coordinate with the IT accommodates necessary IT requirements.
 Participates in annual budget cycle to ensure forecasted technology budgets are coordinated and budgeted in right manner.
 Prepare forecasted reports outlining the activities and action plans.
 Able to work independently and possess zeal for technology. The customer base consists of all QF employing diverse information management environments. The Sr. Technology Planner ensures compliance with the business technology demands and forecasts. The incumbent must adhere to all QF rules and regulations and applicable IT policies and procedures.
 Regular meetings with Sr. IT Strategy and Planning Manager for status updates.
 Regular meetings with Business users and IT Managers to review their department technology needs.
 Occasional meetings with Service Provider to plan and forecast.
 Yearly meetings with Business and IT to prepare technology plans.
 Ability to provide solutions and work around to organizations technology problems.
 Ability to resolve technology conflicts within the business users and/or vendors.
 Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
 Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
