About Your Job:
The Manager Corporate Communications is a high profile position. In this role, you will be responsible for effectively managing communications of the assigned area of responsibility and is based in Head Office in Doha. The role involves all facets of public relations for the airline, which include overseeing the department's media-related activities. You will be involved in the preparation of the corporate communication strategy ensuring that it is aligned within the framework of the company's business strategy. You will also ensure that these strategies are communicated to all Qatar Airways' stations within the allocated region.
You will lead a team of senior media relations officer and support staff and will be responsible in training and developing them to ensure the continuous learning and growth of the team.
About You:
You will have a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication or Journalism with minimum of 7 years of job related experience. Experience from airline/aviation field is a definite advantage. You should have worked as a professional journalist, corporate communicator or PR professional. You must be a strategic and creative thinker with the ability to write and edit press releases. It is important to have the understanding on how to write for the media and how the media works.
We need you to be able to work under pressure in a highly charged working environment, peform to tight deadlines and work on multiple projects effectively. You will be working in a multi-cultural and fast paced environment. You need to be able to delegate work, set clear direction for your team and manage workflow of both internal and external processes.
