Production Engineer - Qatar Technical Steel Fabrication &Industrial Refrigeration

• Plan and coordinate production engineering processes on daily basis to produce high quality products.
• Develop process improvements to effectively utilize equipment and materials to maximize production.
• Develop operational strategies to achieve production and financial objectives.
• Identify unsafe operations and practices and report the same
• Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum production and perform engineering analysis to reduce downtime and outages.
• Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements
• Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
• Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities
• Provide training and guidance to team members to accomplish production goals.
• Maintain Current product specifications, engineering technology and production processes
• Setting the annual targets and plans and increase methods of profitability.
• Effectively utilizes assigned resources to execute the Company’s production plans, objectives and programs in a manner which will result in timely production and delivering targeted volumes of high quality products at the lowest possible cost while maintaining work place quality and staff high morale.
• Administers personnel policies and procedures with regards to manpower plans, job descriptions, performance plans, performance evaluations, salary administration and training and development of subordinates and other plant staff.
• Establishes the responsibilities and key results areas of subordinate supervisors.
• Establishes SMART and challenging operational goals and objectives for each budget year that focus on productivity, product and service quality, safety and housekeeping, material usage and loss control, unit cost and cost savings.
• Carries out periodical capacity study to insure plant capability to handle production requirements and recommend necessary capital expenditure.
• Participates in formulating the plant operating and capital budgets and controls execution of approved budgets, explains and reports variances.
• Monitors operational expenses, materials usage and Losses and overall unit cost to insure efficient resources utilization and to initiate corrective actions as required.
• Maintain ongoing calendar of production, review, and delivery dates to ensure compliance to client expectations.
