About Your Job:
In this role you will be responsible for the management of all nominated suppliers (non equipment), this includes ensuring that all contracts are in place and price increases are investigated and concluded in a timely manner, ensuring the effective and consistent delivery of a 5 star award winning service at the best price.
You will be required to manage the operational relationship between Qatar Airways and all nominated suppliers, which include Frozen Entree and Sandwich Suppliers as well as Bars and Stores items (non equipment). You will be responsible for providing accurate stock forecasts for suppliers in advance. You should plan and monitor commercial and pricing related activities, liaising with the appropriate internal and external parties and responsible for the standard uplifts required from all stations. You must carry out commercially supportive research to acquire coherent information in the industry, this includes benchmarking against the competition and best in class. You will be required to communicate all new start ups and close downs to the nominated suppliers, in relation to the impact on volumes and additional delivery points. You will be responsible for Qatar Airways owned stock held in the bonded stores, ensuring that stock levels are optimised and orders are placed in a timely and effective manner. You will be responsible for spearheading the Fuel Conservation and Waste Reduction projects within the department.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will need a degree in a related field from a recognised university or equivalent professional qualifications. You will have a minimum of 7 years experience of supplier management with at least 5 years in a management position. You must have strong ability to work under pressure and on many different projects simultaneously. You must possess proven skills in negotiation, evaluation and decision making.
