• Receive consignments and verify accuracy of delivery by checking and counting against delivery notes.
• Report any excesses or shortages, or damaged parts.
• Place the received parts in designated bins and arrange new locations for additional inventory items.
• Organize parts systematically according to similar parts numbers and inform the Senior Warehouseman of changes in order to update the system.
• Collect the picking slip, locate the appropriate part and deliver to the relevant person ensuring that no part is delivered without a picking slip.
• Keep the warehouse clean and inform the Senior Warehouseman of any maintenance issues.
• Ensure that parts are handled safely and properly.
• May operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, cranes and floor sweepers.
• Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.
