You will translate the Qatar Airways brand characteristics into a world-leading airline cuisine product.

Each chef leads the development of innovative menus to be presented to passengers onboard Qatar Airways flights and each is responsible for creating and realising exciting and innovative menu concepts for one or more specific culinary regions for each Qatar Airways cabin.

In this role, you will accurately document recipes and techniques into the Qatar Airways food & beverage manual and ensure that menu specifications reflect the appropriate information required to create the dishes by our partner caterers. You will also be involved in the Menu card documentation to effectively communicate the cuisine to passengers. You will provide support to the operational team and will conduct food quality and organoleptic audits of products delivered onboard. You will research new developments in cuisine and provide input to the development of menu rotation strategies. Moreover, you will monitor passenger and crew feedback to identify opportunities to improve the cuisine product.

Person:

We are looking for passionate energetic Chef with creative flair for the culinary arts and exposure to the latest trends and developments in cuisine.

You will also hold a Bachelor Degree in culinary arts. Min 5 years of job-related experience is required. Proficiency in menu cost control, catering management and inventory management is advantageous. Your impeccable interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interface with a wide variety of staff at all levels in a kitchen environment, with suppliers and with airline management are fundamental.
