Key Result Areas (KRAs) - Job Purpose
Leads the safety activities of the RLOC Electrical team
Detailed Tasks / Activities
Demonstrates leadership for concept of proactive safety and takes personal responsibility to set, communicate and cascade the overall goal of zero incidents for the organization.
Ensures the group understands the PHA, OE and Incident reports action items (training and coaching) and follows up on expediting them in a timely manner.
Assesses the contractors and vendors’ safety inside the plant during routine and during outages/turn around works. Do daily inspection of work. Do micro audit.
Leads the JSAs for all the critical and routine works and owns the process.
Conduct training sessions on electrical safety and participate in refresher training sessions for Maintenance group.
Sends initial investigation reports in time for any incident/Near Miss.

Leads the Electrical Maintenance team in maintenance of all electrical equipment in RLOC.
Detailed Tasks / Activities
Coordinates with KAHRAMAA and carries out 33kV switching operations after obtaining certification from KAHRAMAA for 33kV switching.
Application of preventive maintenance programs with focus on optimizing costs.
PM/CM work order closure and finding the history of equipments and coordinating with the technicians giving the actual resources used and failure coding.
Analyze Electrical equipment and Power Distribution Control System repeated problems and seek solutions and implement them.
Continuously review of spares, refurbishment status, bill of materials tracking of PR/PO status with the planners on day to day basis.
Audits maintenance activities and ensures SMP's and checklists are properly followed and completed and ensures SMPs are reviewed and updated in EDMS
Create SMP and check lists for different components.
DSR for contractors particularly Lighting maintenance contractor, HVAC maintenance contractor, UPS Maintenance contractor and other vendors and contractors related to Electrical Activities.
Fully responsible for effective, efficient, and safe performance of plant electrical equipment and systems.

Interaction and communication with other Departments for synchronized operation
Detailed Tasks / Activities
Participates with Technical Dept. in reviewing/revising preventive maintenance plans based on historical data.
Participates and advises in developing plans for major shutdowns, construction or alteration projects
Provides the necessary resources to the planners to create work scope on equipments and preparing the contractor’s work scope.
Participates/leads Reliability Improvement Teams.
Participate in RCA efforts whenever applicable

Manages people and works, related to electrical system Detailed Tasks / Activities
Identifies and assigns the right manpower for each job. Manages manpower requirements and makes adjustments to staff levels according to plant needs / coordinates with the contractor management directly.
Identifies and supply to the crew the right tools for jobs.
Provides work direction / instructions and supervision to both direct and base load technicians. Works hands-on during regular work days, irregular shifts, shut downs and on-call schedules.
Participates in the hiring process of technicians when required.
Conducts interviews.
Participates in budget preparation/reforecast meetings by providing the right information on equipments, history and identifying the training needs.
Mentors Qatari trainee and Qatari newly hired staff to reach a competent level.
Leads the maintenance certification process for all the technicians.
