Business Support Officer - Qatar Foundation

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Director, Business Support, the Business Support Officer role is to provide and deliver business review and support across HSSE Directorate in the area of business plans, project deliverables, internal communications and internal audit. Provide an effective liaison between the departments (internal & external) and the information technology services department.

Key Result Areas:

• Assists Business Unit Leader in developing tactical and strategic, services and/or programs to support the HSSE Directorate’s goals (financial, quality, production, customer service, operational efficiency etc.).
• Supports the collection of data and drafting of HSSE policies and procedures, generating reports, presentations to the higher management, reporting on project performance, metrics and status.
• Prepares routine reports (quality, customer service, operational efficiency etc.), Coordinate and provide monthly HSSE metrics for senior management.
• Develops effective reporting tools for the HSSE Directorate.
• Assists in consolidating and drafting the annual HSSE Directorate’s business plan under Management guidelines and in collaboration with the Strategic Planning Directorate.
• Extends primary support to the implementation and results-reporting of planned HSSE Surveys to the expectations of HSSE team, and under the supervision of Unit Leader and HSSE Management guidelines.
• Supports the Unit Leader in the preparation and delivery of HSSE Communications including QF Website and Portal updating and processing any proposal of revisions for text and images (proofreading, and publication), archiving of multimedia files; compiling/ disseminating HSSE related ads list within the Foundation.
• Analyse the necessary process to include to the HSSE automation plans and recommends enhancements and changes and puts recommendation to implementation strategy.
• Receive and collate all Work Requests, Projects and PM work orders including assignment of classifications, priorities and target dates.
• Proactively assists with the identification of training and development requirements of HSSE Directorate. Presents findings, and works with Business Unit Manager and other personnel to design and implement training and development initiatives that will continuously upgrade the skills and capabilities of personnel.
• Carries-out other similar or related duties and ad-hoc assignments for review or investigation on an as required basis when directed by the Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
